Did you read the plan before you accepted it as compensation? If I considered something "crappy" I certainly wouldn't accept it as a concession for mistakes in my deal. Your reply speaks for itself. And your analogies are totally disconnected from the described scenario.
It sounds like your beef is with getting sold, not with the plan itself. Regardless your suggestion to get wipers replaced before 12k is a good one, so we'll disregard the rest of your rant about the plan you purchased and focus on that.
Since you're so interested in my business, before you get some dingle berries on your nose from sniffing so deep rather than the point of this thread, no I did not read the plan before I accepted it because it was either get a free maintenance plan, or get nothing. Not going to go into detail on the entire ordeal of Ford skipping to pull my order, and denying any compensation in return with them claiming they did no wrong, until I pointed out evidence that a person who ordered the same model with the same options from the same dealer in the same state got jipped in the same way and they provided a comp'ed maintenance plan for him havingthe exact same scenario happen to him, that they then said okay we can do the same, so for the free oil changes, free air filters, and free washer fluid I was gladly taking it. That doesn't mean I don't have the right to warn people that the rest of the plan is bogus and definitely not worth paying for, only worth it if it's free, and take advantage of a little known fact you can get free wipers within 12 months of your purchase for exact OEM replacements not cheap ones.
