2013 Ford Explorer

I love my Ford Explorer didn't like the new style change. Now I am lead to believe that the new Explorer is AWD instead of 4x4... please tell me its not true. Because if it is, I will be looking for a different off road truck .

It is definitely closer to AWD than 4WD. It doesn't have a transfer case, it has a PTO to supply power to the rear wheels, and there is no low range.

It's definitely not a rock crawler.
