I got quoted 2200$ from a dealership for that, yeah. I live in NC. So it might be different elsewhere. Granted, I got it checked on a whim when going in for recalls. Not going to call out which dealership specifically, but my car spent about 5 minutes in the shop itself, and wasn't lifted up until after the service manager called me to tell me the unit was leaking, according to my dashcam. It's obviously a design flaw to be taken advantage of.
Im still not seeing anything leaking from my seal, but my PTU is leaking from the vent tube. It has been through the recall that replaced the vent tube so I wouldn't say that fixed it.
