2016 Ford Explorer Entertainment Unavailable

Please help! Has anyone else had this issue? Radio doesn't work. Can't turn on stereo either on the screen or with the power button. I have pulled all related fuses, did a sync master reset and even disconnected the car battery. I removed the head unit and checked all the wiring and everything seems fine. Even did a sync update thru Fords website and it still doesn't work. All the other quadrants of the screen a functional...it's super frustrating, no audio comes thru the speakers at all...

Sounds like there's a problem involving the Audio Control Module (ACM). The ACM takes the audio inputs and controls from SYNC on the APIM, and also contains the radio tuner.
Alternatively, if your vehicle has any of the premium audio features, there may be an issue with the amp/DSP module.
To narrow things down a bit, please provide some additional details:

• When you try to turn on or manipulate the radio, what exactly happens? Does SYNC act like it's letting you control the radio, or are the radio controls unavailable/unresponsive?
• Do the steering wheel controls work? What exactly happens when you try to change the volume, input, or radio station with them?
