2016+ Ford Explorer will be the redesign?

From these pics, it looks almost like the headlights have a similar cut to the 10-12 MY Fusions - not the same but a somewhat similar looking cut, judging from the tight points on the camo (not the white cutouts). Also, the grille is almost expedition looking from this angle.

Sounds more like a facelift than a redesign appearance-wise in 2016 from this article. I guess we shall see.

Also - regarding the headlights..
Look closely at them and the 2nd pic which you can see the hood edge from the rear side view, and the end of where the light would be.
It looks like there is a cavity beneath the cover at the headlights.
Otherwise the headlights are not flush to the line of the hood but recessed in all around...
...theyre probably still waiting on them...

yep, I read the thread, it seems to be little bit tooooo big! hopefully, OEM one will be smaller.

15 Edge is gonna have LED headlights and maybe next EX will too. Ford is not consistent though, just read recently that Ford is going to start production of Fusion in Europe, aka Mondeo on their market. Amazing thing is that European Mondeo will have LED headlights and Active City Stop technology, which none of NA Fusion's have!

It has already been posted here that the 2016 Explorer will have LED headlights. Of course until it actually comes out.........? Should see in November at the LA Auto Show when it is supposed to debut.

lol that becasue in EU drivers on local roads, do not come to a full stop, ever.
The roll thru any and all traffic lights, except maybe larger multi lane roads & highways.

I personally experienced it and was scared sh*tless with my parents driving.
They themselves explained it to me, (as well as its noted in many travel guides.)

Also found out that the SYNC Gen 3 is completely changed and that all the "sections" were on the bottom of the screen. I'm guessing they've made the switch to the QNX system

I don't know about the QNX switch. I'd think we would have heard something on that by now if it has indeed been carried through for 2016. But, you never know.

Just because Fords is moving now towards discarding all unique look. New Fiesta, Focus, Fusion and just recently unveiled S-Max (Paris, European market) are all alike!!!

And you can say BMW, Audi and MB all look alike within their model lines. They don't seem to be doing too poorly and their vehicles are considered status symbols.

What it amounts to is branding, and it goes further than the logo and even the grill. Similar looking model designs in many aspects goes to branding.

That is why I don't like them. Audi models, for example, are totally look the same, except the size. So, whats the catch?
