Share pics, how did it work out? I have a 2017 PIU with the 4" sync 1 display with BluetoothJust signed the papers for my 2017 PIU an hour ago. But this morning I called Infotainment, gave them my vin and they asked their Ford specialist and I got confirmation that this will work with PIUs. Pricey, but it's plug & play. I forget what their specialist said, but he said as long as it has "something", which my PIU does, then it will work. I'll order one as soon as I gain enough courage to shell out some more moneyand give an update.

I read something interesting about those swaps. Seems it all works...except steering wheel controls on the FPIU for volume and track forward-back. Apparently you need to swap steering wheels if you want those controls to work.
Haha my volume up and back are already janky. Volume up changes stations. I already had a steering wheel being pulled though. That police one is kinda ****. I'm sure many upgrade theirs too. Have you personally seen one of the aftermarket swaps on the Interceptor utility? I'd be interested in swapping to the Sony factory deck too if that was possible in my 2017 3.7l flex
Haven't purchased anything just yet. I think I want to focus first on finding a center console since I don't have any power points. I drive long distance every other week and only being able to charge my phone by a portable power bank is a pain. Also, after more research I think I'm leaning towards getting the 12" Phoenix unit instead. I messaged them extensively and was told that their unit would work as plug & play.
Just a word to the wise....I've read some bad reviews on those from Phoenix. Perhaps they're sorted now....
Thanks. I've been looking and it seems like the okayest option. Recently people haven't had complaints. But I JUST realized that I do have a speaker so bluetooth must be disabled on my 2017 PIU. Do you know how to enable it? When I press the phone button on the radio, all it does is mute the audio. I'm assuming there's an adjustment in Forscan?
