2016 PIU TSBs and Remote Starter

Just had a local install a remote starter, but they told me it would not work unless I have TSB 494765 taken care of, and that it can only be done at a Ford dealer. Anyone ever come across this issue and/or is familiar with this TSB. A google search got me nowhere :/

He said it's electrical related, and it's different from normal TSBs, whatever that means. After a bunch of googling, this is all I could find... Service Bulletin 494765 for Ford EQUIPMENT | AutoMD

This shop does a ton of police/emergency vehicles so I'm assuming he knows what he's talking about. Something special about specific options that came on this particular PIU would not allow his snap-on tool to access certain functions? IDK. All I know is I have a remote starter that doesn't work, lol. I made an appointment with the local dealer for this and a couple other things, but they are pushed out like a month :/

Seeing as how that was first posted on August 28, 2015, I wouldn't hold my breath for "Summary to be provided on a future date".

I agree. It makes me wonder if it was just a very small production batch of vehicles included in this top secret TSB, lol.

Makes me kick myself in the ass for not doing the DIY. I figured, 'it's there getting tint, and this guy does cop cars all the time, would save me time'. Doesn't look like luck is on my side for this one.
