2016 Sport Rear A/C - separate unit?

Is the rear a/c on my 16 sport piggybacking off the car's main a/c? Or is there a separate compressor unit and blower for the rear?

They're separate units, mounted in the left quarter panel.

I thought it was just separate coil and blower run off same compressor as front HVAC. Is there really a separate compressor for the rear unit?
