2017 Explorer Aftermarket Tow Hitch

Would it be possible to install an aftermarket tow hitch in addition to an already existing tow package?
After reading the installation manual, I noticed that the aftermarket tow hitch uses the same mounting point where the original hitch is screwed on. Can that be a problem?
I am interested in the CURT 13386. It doesn’t make that much sense to install a second receiver but, in some cases, its better when it is a little lower.
Has anyone ever tried to do something like that?

I'm not aware of this being done before here. Would you just use the wiring from the existing factory tow setup? The only thing I can think of is that you would probably have to use longer bolts in order to use the same mounting points.
