So my main led in my left/driver headlight went out and I had to buy a brand new one. I went on to Rock auto and got the exact same thing. I installed it today and everything now works fine except the signature lighting led strip on the outer edge. For the life of me I cant figure it out. Any ideas why it might not work or what to check?

Could be many things, a chaffed wire in the harness, a bad ballast etc.... So your old housing may not even be the issue.

Welcome to the Forum. Are you saying that you replaced the entire headlight? There seem to be several different ones.
If the Signature lighting strip was still working on the old one you can try hooking it back up to see if it is still working to make sure the wiring etc is ok.

Hello all,

Were you able to find a solution to this? I am having the same issue after my left side headlamp assembly was cracked and water got inside. After changing the assembly and headlamp ballast, Signature LED lighting no longer works as well as DRL Low Beam. High beam, Turn signal, Side markers and Full-power Low Beam (only at Night) work normally but all DRL options on left side are out. There may be a short with Parking Lamp/LIN wire as I getting all lights working except Signature LED lighting and Low Beams during the day (they turn on at night).

Only codes I get are B143D:11 & B143C:11 from Body Control Module (Headlamp On/OFF Input - Circuit Short to Ground)

I am going to work on solving this issue on Sunday and would like to know if you have any guides/notes to follow.

I have 2017 Ford Explorer Sport.

Thanks.

I'm guessing the above post is aimed at member aiellestad. That member is likely no longer around. He was last seen here on Feb. 28, 2022.
Good luck in getting this resolved. Please report back with any findings. Thanks.

Update:
I found out that the Headlight Control Module (LED Ballast) I purchased on Amazon was not the correct one for my Headlamp w/ Signature lighting. I bought an OEM style from Rock Auto for $175. I found this by testing both headlamps with original module on both sides and it narrowed it down to the cheap module. Now I just need to check why the signature lighting on the same side does not work when engine is on and in Park. Could be some module reset/re-calibration in Forscan. DRL and auto-headlamps work fine.
