JMO,
Franchise,
If the collision warning was on par with the imports, where it would bring the vehicle to a complete stop, I would whole heartedly agree. It isn't, and it doesn't. It simply applies the brakes instead of stopping the vehicle. When I discovered this fact, I almost cancelled to option.
Since it doesn't have that technology, I can absolutely do without the ACC portion of the option. The adjustability is sub par IMO. The gap distance on our Yukon is adjustable. The laser reading on the upcoming vehicle ahead of you, is not. Our Yukon detects and starts slowing down too soon for my liking. It's easy to get lulled by the upcoming vehicle when talking to people riding in the truck. Before you know it, you are going 10 MPH slower, and then harshly accelerates once your vehicle pulls out and changes lanes.
I would bet that the technology is purchased from the same manufacturer as GM" and IMHO, has a long way to go before I would call it refined.
Expense doesn't bother me, I look at vehicle cost of (vehicle purchase vs. trade in value) ownership, not what its initial cost is.
I trade off vehicles in roughly three years, so an extra attractive buy motivates me.
Good point on the wheel. I'm guessing if they are a dealer installed "accessories", the finish should be covered, but I will include that point if we come to an agreement.
Also, I saw that vehicle in Hamburg, but I don't want the 301. Also, I would rather not drive the vehicle to Florida. I just don't have the time right now.
