My driver side mirror works perfectly. The passenger mirror stopped moving left or right, but moves up and down. This issue occurred after lending my car to my mom, and the mirror was pushed all the way up.

Are you able to move it L - R manually?

Yes I am able to move manually

I don't know if this will help but check out this thread and the link in post #2 which will take you to another thread with a You Tube video. That video should give you some idea of how the glass moves. If the glass was moved to the most upper limit using the mirror adjustment switches I can't see why there would be any damage to the rotating device of its pins.

Hi all,

My 2018 Ford Explorer XLT passenger side mirror stopped moving on the horizontal plane. It will articulate vertically (i.e., up and down), but it won't articulate horizontally (i.e., left to right). Has anyone had this issue before?

My driver's side mirror works just fine. I think it might be the motor in the mirror itself.

My mother had this issue after hitting the mirror off of something during a downpour. The mirror housing & glass had no damage. I bought a Motorcraft motor off Amazon for about $65 and it fixed the issue. You just need to gently pop the mirror glass out & carefully unplug the wire connectors. Very easy.

She has a 2018 Limited.

Yup,I would just buy the replacement motor for the mirror as Jade97 stated. You generally do it carefully with a flatblade screwdriver for the glass removal and torx bit for the motor.

Or you can replace the entire mirror...
Amazon product ASIN B095JZ61WD

I didn't use any tools to pop the glass out.

As per your post in your other thread, I doubt that fuse #23 would be for the issue for your mirror. It is for the Folding Mirrors feature.
