Hey everyone,

I've searched all over for this info but can't find it. Tonight I took my car out and realized a noticeable loss of power when accelerating that seems to be isolated in the low end rpm range. I could immediately tell something was off. Torque was missing. No MIL activation, but when I read DTC's with ForScan I got a strange new error. It's reporting "Reductant Control Module" as a error, no code or further information. Just comes up as error. Reset didn't help, came right back. I did a quick search and it seems this is part of emissions control on diesel vehicles. Not much info out there regarding it. Anyone have any experience with this or know what would be going on? Haven't done any work or changed anything on it lately. Also it's the completely stock setup.

Thanks in advance!

Dave

FYI, I did a 'Search' on "Reductant Control Module" and your post is the only one in the entire Explorer forum that came up.
I think a dealer visit is in your future.

Doesn't forescan void your warranty?

Doesn't forescan void your warranty?
Not if it is used to read codes. If it is used to change preprogrammed software then, yes, it very well could void a failed warrantied part/system if failure was traced back to the change. That part is mentioned in the Warranty Guide.
