Which trim of the 2020 Explorer wheel are you looking at?
The center bore is different on the 6th gen Explorer so you may have to use adapters (hub centric rings?). They also use a 255/55R20 tire. I'm guessing your Base came with 245/60R18 so going to a 255/55R20 would exceed the generally accepted maximum diameter variance of 3% by 2% (5%). A 255/50R20 tire would be just 1.6%. I'm guessing you are going for the 'look'?

Hi..... our 2013 has 255/55r20's on the car now.... so the reason they don't fit is due to the bore on the rim being a different size?
Thanks
Mike

YHi Mike. Yes, the 5th gen wheels have a smaller center bore than the 6th gen. I read a post where a tire shop told a member who was getting new wheels because of this difference, that they could probably have drilled it out to fit. Not sure I'd want to go that route.
The sizes are mentioned somewhere here but it's something like 63mm vs 70mm or close to that.
