21 mpg on trip

I'm heading back to Texas later...a 2,000 trip to Connecticut...My 94 ex is doing great....Before I left I cleaned out the MAF and that stopped CEL....

Truck has 150K on it, runs great and I averaged 21-22 mpg...All highway of course....

I'm getting a little vibration over 65 so I'm thinking I better check the u-joints when i get home...I had the tires rotated and balanced before I left....

Sometimes RA bushings can cause this. Make sure all you suspention bushings are good.

I constantly get 20 MPG on my '91. 300K miles. very happy with that as compared to my daughters S10 Blazer PIG.

Check the Spindle Nut

Yea my 92 got better gas mileage (250k) than my 02 Taurus SES did.

I clocked in my highway mpg to be somewhere around 22 mpg versus 14.3 around town, on a good day. Totally beats my dad's 96 Explorer Conversion van. That thing makes the Ex's gas mileage look like a Mini Coopers.
