232 SC 3.8 Swap

Has anyone considered swapping the Thunderbird's 232 Supercharged V6 in? I know that you would be stepping down in size, but if I was able to get my hands on one then I would mind it (320ish lbs of torque, 220hp).

I have been thinking about the 302 swap, and have done some searches and looked on different forums and still havent really found an absolute definite answer to my questions...

Exactly what parts besides the complete 302 engine, transmission and Tbox would you need? Which manual transmission is most commonly used? Which cars could you use as donors for these parts? What problems would I have doing this with a 95 sport, since the 91-94s have more space. I would appreciate it if I dont get spammed back with the search photo, as funny as that is :p

Any help would be apprecaited.

It's actually much easier to put a 302 in the 95+s since the the 5.0 was an option starting in 96.

IMO it would be easier to:
1) rebuild your OHV and put a supercharger and/or go-fast internals to make that power
2) swap in a 302
3) swap in a 4.0 SOHC

All are easier than putting in the 3.8.
 






Why can't you bolt on the 3.8 S/C to the 4.0 motor?? I am trying to find out if I can put that supercharger on my 4.0 SOHC motor...Can it be done?

to bolt on an SC you need the intake adapters, pulley setup, intake setup, tuning etc.....requires relocating some stuff. Also the SOHC has higher compression and really cant run alot of boost.
 






I believe people have attempted to bolt the thunderbird SC to the 4.0 and it ended up costing as much as buying the supercharger made for the explorer. Though that was on the 4.0 ohv motor, and like Magic25 said you cant really run much more on the sohc because it's already high compression.
