Ok, in my other thread, i asked about my quick release on my slave cylinder assy. Now, i have another question: Since i am replacing my damaged 4WD M5OD instead of rebuilding it (as i have a 2WD M5OD out of a 98 Explorer) are the tailshafts interchangeable? It appears to me that the output shafts are basically the same. Also, the adapter for the transfer case appears to have the same bolt pattern. Can the 2WD M5OD be used to replace the 4WD M5OD transmission?
