2wd and 4wd A4LD the same?

the difference is the output shaft and tail housing
to convert a 2wd version to a 4wd version or vise versa you have to dis assemble the entire transmission as the output shaft goes in first
try a search for this, this question has been asked and the conversion done quite a few times
