Probably with some rubbing. I'd at least do a small torsion twist up front and warrior shackles in rear.

Man Alec you are all over these tires & wheel questions.....Good job man, i know i learn from reading your posts. Thanks

I just put on my 285/60/18 pirellis on 18x8 rim with +30mm offset this weekend and they fit fine...no rubbing. My tires measure 31.4 x 11.2. Depending on your back spacing they should be ok. Be sure to zip tie the rear e-brake line though...it will rub.

oh...forgot to tell you..I'm also lowered 2" up front...stock in the rear.

Thornbirds have knobs that stick out about 1.5" on both sides so there will be rubbing. I've got 4" lift 33" thornbirds on wheels with 4" (I think) backspacing and the rub front and back when flexed.

ok..gotcha...didnt know what Thornbirds were...newbie here...but i'm learning everyday :)

This is a thornbird

damn....those look tough as $hit...like something mad max would have on a truck..lol

Actually they're awful tires offroad and clog up very easily. Do not buy them unless your truck is a street queen. Their performance is no where near a TSL or Bogger.

I have to disagree. I have a set and when I went to Tellico they made all the difference in the world! I also have A/T and my Thornbirds dominate them offroad. They might not be as good in nothing but mud but on rocks and what not they perform awesome. The knobs grab and you go! But anything is good when you can get 4 for 150! :D

How in the HE$$ did you get 4 for $150???? Hook me up bro!

I am sure some people have liked Thornbirds and I have never personally used them, but about 90% of what I have read about them is negative.

Stick with a good AT if your are going on and offroad. If you are going mainly offroad, stick with something with a traditional MT design.

fiftyfeetup,
i have the 30x11.5x15 and they only slightly rub when the wheel is fully cranked and i am in reverse. there is plenty of clearence with the frame so you may only need to slightly trim the inside corner of the plastic on the bottom of the front fender. i have only been offroad once but, i made it up a hill that i could barely walk up without slipping (wet clay) and i didnt have any speed (4x4lo, 1st gear). but i only made it up once, so maybe it was a fluke. but i like them.
