Before you say it, I did search with no answer... I would like to know if 31x12.50's would fit a stock heigth 93' X while running a 15x10" wheel on 3/4 backspace or would I have to go with a 15x8" wheel and 3/4 backspace??

i would guess they would rub..i have 31x10.5 and they are real close..but all are diffrent but i think 12.5 might be pushing it

Are you meaning .75" backspacing? Because that would make those wheels stick out real far. Not to mention putting a buttload of stress on your axles, wheel bearings, etc.

Does a 31x12.5 even exist?

That's what I thought, but some of the Superswampers and stuff come in weird sizes. 33X13.50 and stuff, it's odd. I think you'll rub like crazy!

Yeah, I agree. You'll probably rub like crazy. Super Swampers do have some very weird sizes. The LTB is one with some of the weirdest sizes. I don't think they even make that tire in a normal size. :D

yea I meant 31x12.50... They are Swamper Boggers... I did mean .75 backspacing, it is the same as 3/4" simple mathmatics (conversions). I didn't even think about the stress on the axle, so thank you for bringing that to my attention, guess I'll have to stick to the 10.50's...

just get a wheel with more backspacing, and if you have rubbing problems lift it a inch or 2

I don't even know if any wheels are mass produced with only .75" backspacing. Considering the stock backspacing is about 4.5", most people go with one with 3.75" backspacing. You may still rub with 3.75 backspacing and 31x10.50s.

You will never fit 31x12's at stock height. Especially with 15x10's. You won't be able to turn. At least 4" of lift would be needed to fit that combo.

i saw a stock sport at autozone 31 1250 pro comp muds but i didnt see the owner to ask them if the rubbed i can only imagine they would but i think his were of 8 inch rims

This thread is old but anybody that searches will want an answer that is substantiated. OK folks get ready!

My 94 STX 4X4 which wore 31x10.50 stock, did not clear 31x12.50 Thornbirds(horrible tires, different forum) on 15x10 MT Classics. You could get about half the turn of the steering wheel.

2" BL didnt solve it either. Lugs would still catch fender flares and radius arms.

The best solution: 4" suspension lift, no BL and have short looking tires on your ride. I have some pics somewhere I'll have to try and load.

I wouldn't even go there. Bizarre size.

My .02

Which rims have .75" backspacing? That would mean a 15x10 rim would have the 9.25" of the rim to the outside of the mounting pad (lots and lots and lots of stress).. Most after market rims use 3.75" backspacing while the stock wheels use 4.5"
