I have 33" Tires on my 94 explorer, I'm getting about 10 miles to the gallon so i was wondering which gears i can step up to for the best fuel economy, or if the stock gears i have now are suffient. Thanks.

I'm planning on sticking with my 3.73's  It' gonna be gutless! But it will look cool! I'm hoping a Cat-back will help some

Drop it it to 4.10 if you drive it on road/hi-way. For a trail rig you may as well drop it a bit more.

that is my future plans, of course first I need the lift and tires to start that stage of the trucks evolution. Stickin' with the 3.73 and my 30's for the next year or so till the warranty is gone.

well do you plan on going bigger? If so your gonna want 4:56's. Are you interested in just better fuel economy and staying at the current height?? then you can get 4:10s

If you already have 3.73 gears, then I wouldn't go to 4.10's I would go right to 4.56's. 4.10's won't be much more of a difference then 3.73. I went from 3.73 to 4.10 on my '94 and with 32" tires and wished I had gone to 4.56's. I didn't notice much of a difference when I switched to 4.10's.

4.10 for mileage (but don't if you have 3.73 stock)
4.30 if you have 2wd
4.56 more aggressive.

cool thanks, i guess ill go with the 4.10's then.
