36 swampers

I am going into les schwabs today to put my 36x12.50 Super Swamper tsl radials on. My ? is has any one know if they rub? I have the 5.5" superlift and 3" body lift I'm not to sure what the off set is on my custom wheels are, but any info would be great

Since noone replied to this before I went to get those 36x12.50 TSL Radials I'm going to tell all of you to be very careful with this size of tire. Les Schwab took the liberty to shave my fenders alittle bit to avoid major rubbing, but they still rub.

Seriously poor upward travel. Bad enough that I'm going to go with the fiberglass fenders up front. Along with that I just realized that the shop that put my suspension lift on put those huge bump stop brackets on which only give about 3 in. of travel going up. With those off and the fenders on I should have no problem stuffing the 36x12.50 Swamps.

A word of warning:
If you remove the Superlift bump stops keep an eye on the driver side drop bracket. It has a tendency to go through the pumpkin and crack the housing. Mine already makes minor contact with them in place.

yeah don't remove those if it's superlift or you pay for it

ok ok so don't remove the bump stop bracket how about cutting out an inch or so off the bracket? go to before and after to see!!!!!

Thats a 92 Explorer XL with 36x12.50 Super Swampers TSL radials and runnin 15 lbs. of pressure!!

I like the Tall-Skinny look. Are those 8" rims and what's the Offset?

Thanks, Ya those are 8" rims but I'm not to sure what the offset is. I need to up grade to 10" rims to get them to stop rubbing on the swaybar up front. Thanks again!!

Stay with the 8's

I started with 10's and changed over to 8's, because with the 10's the tires needed a lot more clearance at the rear of the front fenders while turning(I gained about 2" at the rear by going to the 8's and they tuck under the fenders better). In my opinion--of coarse.

Rocky, you have a very good point. But in a week or so I'm takin it in to do some cut outs up front and some minor customizing in the rear along with custom flares so I can stick the tires out more. Sittin right now I only have maybe an inch or so from the back of the front fenders.
