3rd brake light repair/replace-97

could use some advice on 3rd brake light repair/replacement-97 eddie bauer-thanks

You will need to drill out the rivets holding the black trim piece that covers the bulb. Also, remove the acorn nuts...

It could be the ballast or the bulb. You can get to the ballast from the inside if you remove the rear hatch trim, but the bulb must be removed from the outside after removing the black trim. It bends like tinfoil, so don't pry or pull on it.

hey joe dirt-havent fixed it yet-ordered a led replacement-at least i know how it comes apart-kinda green on ford maintenance-thanks again
