Just wondering, can anyone beat my 3rd gen's mpg? This was from all last week at 55 mph (to and from school/work) on cruise control.

I posted that they were for sale a while back on my registry. No sense in having mudders if I'm not going to mud lol. I see 20s in my future...on 305/55s of course

yeah, all terrains most likely. And ill need the lift to clear the tires. 285s are 32.7" diameter and 305/55/20s are 33.2"...305/50/20s are only 32" so I may have to just stick with that size. We'll see what next summer brings!

i get around the same amount. FYI that gauge is not accurate at all! If u hit reset you will see it jump all over as it should. after a day or two it barely moves, so if you were on the hwy its gonna tell u an amazing number. I monitor mine via the scan gauge and at 55-60mph on flat ground i get around 26 with no one else in my car and windows up if you have a scan gauge ull know what im talking about...
For the gauge on my truck ive gotten that number to read 76 at one point

I know how unaccurate it can be. I can average around 20mpg with in city and highway (doing the math). I can get that gage to read 99.9 mpg

Nate, is your truck on steroids? thats impressive! Im down in your range 43 (the lift/tires/basket/lights dont help lol)
I honestly think its because my 99% of my "suburb" driving to work and school is open highway. Its all 50-55mph. I figure when I get the addition of my headers fuel economy will go up. When I supercharge it, I figure my fuel economy will go down

Here's a couple pic's of my Explorer. Will start modding here soon. Plan on the spacer lift and 265/75/16's.

Good weekend
Went to Buchanan Mudfest in Robertsville MO this weekend with a buddy of mine. We didn't do anything too intense but it was a great time!
