Don't leave the transfer tape on! The tape will leave glue residue, and it'll be more likely to take the decal with it! Trust me... I used to make decals for a living!

lol well i watched a youtube video about a year ago and it said leave the transfer tape on over night, so i've used that method since on everything i apply. i've always left the transfer tape on for at least 24 hours and i've yet to have problems with any of the decals.

they look good mark!

Ah well it must depend on the transfer tape.... I've left pieces of the stuff on jobs before and they've been hell to get off...

Looks good... if there are any small bubbles don't worry about em -- they'll usually work themselves out

Got some 1.5 spacers and took a trip down to the beach. Still can't match NHarris's scenery though

Looks good! All you need now is tires :D

Waiting in line Friday am and dropping $400 for my new iPhone put a little dent in the tire fund, but they are on the way =]

Looks really good Brian!

I agree, looks really good!

The trucks comin together nicely brian! Glad to see some updated pictures, and I'm looking forward to that roof basket

How much did the wheel spacers run you?

Looks good, how did you mount the tow hooks with the brushgaurd?

the 3" body lift exposes the open ends of the frame. Basically you flip the brush guard brackets upside down and insert them into the frame. You have to modify them (basically cut a big part out of them) to fit without cutting away parts of the bumper.

Anyway, with that done you can use the same set of holes for the tow hooks and the brush guard brackets.

Yup! Loads of credit to Ronin8002 for answering all of my dumb questions along the way.

And the wheel spacers ran me about $150 on ebay/local guy. They are aluminum and are holding up great so far. I'm going to need them when I slam those 285's under there. =] The basket is finished, just wiring up the lights!

Looks like you made some bumper brackets for the rear hitch, too

Can't wait to see the basket!

I sure did! The hardest part was finding the steel plates around here. Steel salesmen are a-holes. I could use all 3 bolts on the bottom but not at the top, the frame got in the way of the bottom bolt....

Yeah I don't think I mentioned that part but it should be just as strong. The guy who told me how to make them (BigOne65) has pulled other stuck trucks out with his hitch on brackets and it held up fine.

Here's mine. It's an '05 Limited that I got about a year ago. Those are 22" Lorenzo WL032 on 255/35/22 Toyo Proxes. It's got a Magnaflow muffler with an SLP tip and the third cat removed and also a K&N intake. I am about to install an upper/lower black mesh grill, black headlights and tail lights, and remove the roof rack. I also want to add some wheel spacers so they stick out some. They are kinda tucked in right now and I hate the way it looks from behind. Anyways, here she is:

P.S. the "Explorer" decal is missing in the pic because I removed them to paint them black and re-install them. This should be done soon.

Clyde - what are your plans for your roof rack? If you have crossbars, I'd be interested in getting them from you.
