Yeah, very nice. I'd like to take a trip up there to the mountains and stuff. I've never seen anything like that. I'm a born and raised Floridian. I can take some sweet beach/palm tree shots, though!

But yes, I would definitely wax it after. The claybar takes everything off, then you wax over totally clean paint. The claybar makes sure you're waxing clean paint, and not a bunch of contaminants and dirt.

At least that's my understanding of how it works. If anyone else knows more, feel free to chime in. lol
But it makes sense because the Maguire's kit comes with a little bottle of wax to use after.

Colorado's mountains are better, but I guess since you live in florida, any mountains are good :) I want to eventually move to colorado, I've been there 3 times in the last few years, and have loved it everytime. Just wish I had my 05 X back then to do some off-roading.
I visited florida about 2-3 years ago, don't remember....but I loved florida...at least where I was. Orlando. Visiting disney world with family for the first time...ever. The humidity was hard to adjust to, but besides that it was great.
This mothers brand kit was about $2.00 cheaper, and I got a full bottle of wax left anyway.

Haha, yeah, any mountain would be good. I want to go skiing! I've done it in water, now I want snow.

We go to Disney like once a year, lol.
Orlando is nice, but crowded. I HATE driving through there on the way home. There are some really nice areas that are more "Florida-ish" than Orlando. Orlando is more for amusement parks, shopping and things like that. If you want beaches and stuff like that, Cocoa Beach is pretty close to Orlando and really nice. Same with Daytona Beach and a ton of others. We have lots of beaches. :D
I love the beach and Florida, but I'd like a change of scenery every once in a while. Our house is about five minutes away from Hutchinson Island, so the beach is an every weekend thing...at least when I'm actually home. :p:

Sorry to jack the thread lol
But yes, I would definitely wax the truck. The end result is amazing. Smoothest paint you'll ever feel!

Honestly for me living so close to 3 ski resorts, and another probably 15 within an hour to 2 hour drive, I never go skiing or snowboarding. Its so expensive. Besides after it snows 3-4ft of snow in a day. By the time I finish shoveling, I decide that I hate snow
I wish I lived in florida, or somewhere warm all year. I don't do anything with the snow besides shovel it. lol :D Warmth all year round would be nice, and being able to by a 4X2 truck. I could have gotten such a deal on a nissan frontier 4X2, 35K miles, and it was an 06...but I got to have 4X4....stupid snow :D
One advantage to Utah...off-roading, and MOAB :)!
Yeah agreed, tons of beaches, especially when the state of florida looks like this:
florida%20space%20site.jpg

Hmm....seems to me too much water...not enough off-roading areas.

haha, ski resorts to you are probably like beaches to me. They're everywhere. But beaches are free lol.
Hey now, it gets cold here too! Not as cold as Utah, but it can get cold, especially in North Florida around the panhandle. Tallahassee got down into the low teens, almost single digits back in February. And the Pensacola area got like an inch of snow lol.

There are places to go off-roading, not just on the beaches. Central Florida, around the lake, has a lot of places, including Mudfest around Okeechobee. Mudfest is a pretty big deal lol. And there are National Forests and all that crap in certain areas where you can have a little fun.

So what I get from that is go to the dealership and they will help... I just may see if I can find those. :D

Well it would be nice to be able to order those from Ford but with the Urban X being a concept they would have never put those lights into production. Therefore, I doubt these would be available anywhere unless an aftermarket company starts making them. Maybe is we got enough people wanting these lights we could contact some of the companies that make the one piece lights for the import cars and see if they would be willing to manufacture these.

Hmmm... theres something fishy about that e-mail. It just sounds so lifeless and, well, robotic.

True on that. And the fact that we are probably several years too late. And the other side of the coin is, how many people buy an explorer to "trick it out". Not too many.

Agreed...
Most the email is probably just some sort of a template. The person, if there was a person, probably just typed one or two sentences.

It seems almost that it was completely done by machine, like it searched your e-mail for i would like to buy/purchase and headlight for urban explorer and just plugged those words into their template reply. I guess check with a dealership.

I honestly beleive unless its something important, they aren't going to have a person reply. The just have some sort of premade template and they send it. Sad day when I cant even have a person reply to my question... Maybe if I ever get a leak from the gas tank (see thread http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248953 ) I will CALL ford up and ask them why, instead of getting a lifeless email from them.

I like the look of those yellow fogs earlier posted I can keep the stock housings and just change bulbs right? I will agree though the bugs are brutal just got back from my PA trip my window was a rainbow of big fat splattered colors.

No, do not go to that site. that coupon code he has is already expired. check out ddmtuning.com they have kits for 40 to do two lights. Or at least they used to

Or did that expire too.... lol :D
I did look at ddmtuning.com they had a lot of kits for a good price. I just don't look at HID kits too much. I've been thinking of a HID kit for my fogs.

Recent trip up to the mountains taught me that my current lights aren't powerful enough. If I can avoid it I don't want to switch to hids as to avoid projectors. Might just try and buy some more powerful bulbs without going hids. Fogs might have to wait I still need to figure out what to do with them.

I think they're called halogens. They seem to be powerful and last a good amount of time.

Sounds good to me I'm not talking bad of Hids or anything don't get me wrong I think they are great, Just not with my current use of the truck I cover to many states don't want to find that picky cop. I'm wondering if I can find yellow fogs without going hid or if they will just be very low light if I do.

I have Sylvania Silver Star Ultra's for my low beams. I think I paid $50 for the pair from AutoZone. Just swap them with existing bulbs. They are really bright & white!
