3rd gen popping/clicking noise on turns...

I had the same clicking noise once when I changed my rotors. I found out that it's the little metal plate on the back of your brake pads. They tend to seperate if they are cheap pads and will cause a clicking noise. I replaced them with Akebono Ceramic pads and the clicking never came back. Good luck!

what should I look for?

Im not sure how to officially diagnose a front axle... except for making a tight turn and applying gas...

Well not too much gas, just turn a sharp corner as you would after going though a stop sign. You'll hear clicking if a side axle

you can pull the axle out and just see if it rotates freely or if there is alot of resistance

It was my brakes. When I got my brakes fixed by the dealer, this noise has completely gone away.

Having the same noise in my 04. Looks like it's time for new brakes.
