HELP Please! I have a 3rd Gen Explorer with Dual Heat/AC. I got the passenger side Blend Door removed, but now cannot get the new one in. I'm thinking I should have spend the $900 to have it fixed. I removed the center console and glove box to get as much view as I could. I had the controls set to full cold and have the new Blend Door aligned best I can tell just as the old one was. Hour and hours trying to get the new Blend Door in. I started to take off the dash, but stopped. Is there any advice to getting the new Blend Door in? Maybe adding some grease?

Do a bit of cutting to expose it more. No one will see it, and who cares anyway on a car this old.
I posted pics of same only a short time ago.

Thanks to you I have now become a successful passenger side Blend Door Actuator replacer! It was an incredibly difficult task. I absolutely could not have done it without your encouragement to just cut the thing. I also found these pictures helpful in determining where the thing was located: 3rd Gen Dash Removal Pics

Again, Thank you so much!
Blessings, Berta

You're welcome. Glad it's properly working.
