It has been awhile since I removed my starter, now I do not remember where everything goes. Working on my 1994 Ford Ranger.
There are 2 wires on the end of my starter wiring harness, and a 3rd following it. 1 small red, 1 thick red and a thick black. I know the small red wire goes on the small nub of the starter. The thick red wire goes on the larger nub that is not linking the solenoid with the motor. What I do not know is where to place this 3rd wire, black that is not embedded with the starter wiring harness, just strapped along that harness with its own insulation and all. This wire originates directly from the negative connection of the battery. Where do I connect this wire too?

Please follow the link below for an image. Cant figure out how to embed the image in this post, therefore, is hosted by google drive.

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you

It goes on the actual mounting bolt to the starter. One of the two starter bolts should have a stud on it for it to attach to.

Yes, the lower mounting bolt. It gets sandwiched between two nuts.
