Thanks guys. Um, I decided on the 70 over the 50 mainly cuz i wanted to have a muffler that was the same size as the stock one and the 70's pretty big (22 inch long case) so that it would fit with the stock hanger locations. But also, I didnt want anything too loud or raspy. And yes, Bones the larger muffler will make it quieter cuz there's more space the exhaust gas has to go through. Honestly, when you hear it in person its not obnoxious at all and is only loud when you get on it. The video might sound louder cuz I'm standing like right behind the pipe, but when you're driving the sound only surfaces when you're putting your foot into it, and even then, its subtle, somewhat bassy, but nice. I'm sure the 40's and 50's sound just as good, I just dont like having it that loud, cuz I get sick of it. I had a 95' 5.0 stang for a couple years with magnaflow magnapacks and a catless H-pipe. It was absolutely phenomenally loud pretty much all the time. But it definitely got annoying when I wasn't in the mood to hear something loud when I was driving. So, yeah, 70 series fit the bill for the truck, cuz its got a good rumble but lets me think straight when I wanna chill.
99exploratory u got aim or yahoo messanger so we can chat.
previous owners had the dual 70 series flows on my 01 sport and it sounded to quiet for me. I liked it at first i had it on for like 7 or 8 months then i got rid of the 70 series.
so i decided to get the dual 40 series flows and it big difference in sound it sounds more louder and deeper and I had the 40 series for like almost 6 months now and i love it.
I'm about to purchase a 70 series and really want dual outlets. Does anyone have any good pictures of how to route the dual outlets while retaining the spare full size tire? I looked at it and see only one way to do it, but if I have pics from people with experience and already done it to bring to the muffler shop, that would help a TON.
awesome looking tail pipes, looks solid. Do you have any pics of the pipes from the muffler itself, and how its routed from the pasenger side all the way across to the drivers side? I think it crosses over the axle on the driver side, then goes outboard of the chassis, then aft?
my plan right now is to get dual in dual out. The other option is dual in and one big 3" single out. I want quiet, but when I step on it I want some noise, not too much.
i was wondering if not having the CAI would make this muffler sound much different. it says in the description that it's stock piping, without resonator, but it has a volant CAI, i don't but i think that sounds pretty amazing.. would would this be feasible for an ebay version of the KKM intake to sound like this with the Flow 50 Series?
the day vid will have to wait till the weekend, bc I don't usually get home till the sun starts going down.
Here's a pic of the cherry bomb. It's been on my truck for a year. I just took a sawzall to pipe right next to the front and back of the muffler and then got some adapters and clamps. it's not pretty, but it works.
yes it is angled. then ends of the cherry bomb are angled so it would fit where an offset muffler was.
