4.0 OHV exhaust

I have a 99 4.0 OHV that is stock for now, thinking of putting an aftermarket muffler on it. dont want anything too too loud, just want a lil rumble. Any suggestions?

I like my Hooker Aerochamber; it's not too loud
but sounds good.

Just bought another Sport, (God help me. )
and installed a Gibson SS cat-back system on it.

Everyone has their own opinion on mufflers and
exhaust systems, and tastes are so different that
it's hard to recommend one. Many people like the
quieter Flowmasters too...

Yea a flowmaster is good choice (i love mine) but also maganflow has some decent mufflers that give the rumble you are talking about. I would recommend (even though i am a flowmaster guy) going with a magnaflow.

i played with a y pipe out of the cat and put 2 long glasspacks in. idk how loud you want it but it definitely growled. it was a little to high pitched for me at high rpms. my current setup is im my sig and i havent personally heard a 97 4.o ohv get any louder lower or meaner soundn than that. ive played with several custom exhausts though. describe the sound your lookin for and maybe i can give you some ideas that i have tried.
