The bottom end letting go at that rpm is an anomoly. The bottom end in the SOHC and the ohv are identical. I could go into the history but I don't want to bore you guys.
As far as what RPM to take it to, I bet that engine stops making power around 4700-4900 rpm. Anything higher is just spinning the engine. Good pics, interteresting to say the least.-j
