I'm tearing into the engine to replace timing components. I don't have a pressure gauge and am trying to determine TDC.
My first question is does it matter if I'm on TDC for Intake or Exhaust for this procedure?
Had my wife "plug" the hole for cylinder #1 , then I turned the engine.
Two full rotations. She said she felt the same amount of pressure on both.
By rotations, I'm referring to the mark on the crank pulley lining up with the TDC mark on the engine. Two times.
So I wasn't able to determine which was exhaust and which was the intake stroke.
I can get a gauge from HF if it's that important.
