I wanna get a good 4 channel amp to push the door speakers better.

I have Jensen 6x8's in the front and Sony 6x8's in the rear but I may put my 6x9's in the doors instead.

I can't find any amp's that aren't expensive as hell for what I would like to get. All I can find are 50 or 60 watt x4. I would like to push atleast 100-150 watts out to each speaker, even if I have to get two 2 channel amps but as y'all know space is limited.

Any suggestion and help would be awesome. I'm on a budget so no $200+ amps please.

well, first off what is the max rms for those speakers?

secondly the alpine pdx f4 does 100 watts a channel for 4 channels and the f6 does 150 a channel for 4 channels. great amp.nice and small, clean power. but very pricey. 500 for the f4.

If you don't mind losing the front/rear fade, you could opt for a two channel amp that can handle a lower ohm load. Run your right front/rear to one channel, and your left front/rear to the other channel.

That is the way I have an old school Rockford Fosgate Punch 60 set up in my Paseo. Infinity Kappa 4" components for fronts, Infinity Kappa 6½" coaxials for rears, getting 280 watts total.

The speakers are rated 240 max, 180 continuos, IIRC. They dont sound bad running through the older Pioneer head unit but it's only rated at 50x4 and I've read that it's actually only pushing around 25 watts thru HU's that have that rating. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you sure that is per speaker & not per pair? I'm willing to bet is is per pair. Even 90w RMS per speaker sounds high for Jensen or Sony.

x2 on this. I had a set of sonys in my truck originally and they were only rated at 35 watts rms each. Sent those back and got alpine type rs rated at 100watts rms each. To be honest when it comes to car audio or really anything, spending the extra money is usually worth it because you know youre getting what you pay for.

50 watts RMS per channel is plenty. I'm running a 5 channel Sony amp that is rated RMS at 50 x 4 and 120 x 1 for the subwoofer. For speakers I'm running Infinity Reference 6x8 in the factory locations and an Infinity Reference 10 inch sub in the factory sub location. It sounds great.

The rating on your head unit is peak, not RMS. RMS rating will most likely be around 15-25. Also, for the best sound get a matching set of either the Sonys or the Jensens which ever sound better to you.

I'm not really concerned much about the Sony speakers, their getting pulled out for either the Infinity Reference Series 6xx8 speakers or a set of 6x9 Infinity speakers I have laying around from my old show truck.

I'll more than likely put the 6x8 Infinity's in the front doors and the 6x9's in the rear. I just need to get some advice on good 4 channel amps that'll actually run around atleast 100 watts to each channel and not just say it on the cover. Thanks.

Look for any amp that is CEA compliant. If it is then what they advertise as the RMS rating is correct.

Good to know, thanks.
