I saw some pictures of an Ex with a D44 front axle that was 4-linked and was curious what would go into designing a setup like that. What angle do I have to have? where do links have to be mounted? I am in a high performanc eclass but it will be awhile before I get into my high performance steering and suspension class. Any help or tips or links to a site to find this info would help. I would like to see some more pics if anyone has any also. Thanks-tom

Hi Tom and welcome.

Designing a 4 or 5 link live axle to fit under your Explorer, is a bit more tricky then that. Nobody can come on here and just list out numbers.
You need to have a full understanding of what the setup does, how and why.
There is a ton of good info about linking axles online on this and other forums.
Research is your best friend.

There are a handfull of solid axle trucks on this forum running links and not traditional Ford radius arm setups, take a look around. Every single one is different from the other in one way or another. Building the setup will be a challenge and requires some fabrication to get what you want out of it.

Check out Jefe's truck, Michael, Rick, Hammer, Fakarwee, DB1's just off the top of my head.

if your good with numbers and can understand pictures and a little reading here is a great site for you to read and understand the 4 link buildup. do a lot of measuring and a lot of research before you start your project.
