4 wheelers with 20's

Sounds like a winner to me.

Your setup sounds about like the way I would do it, only minus the side action....I know too many goofballs that would end up trying to stab an open door into the concrete. I'm glad to finally meet someone else that prefers the coilover method. You wouldn't believe how many people try to talk smack to me for doing them that way. Sounds like you've got one hell of an X there.

Roll Pan: Have you called Alter Images yet? Better yet, give me a day or two and I can get you the number of the guy that does ALOT of their big fab work. He did a skin/pan combo for a friend of mine and it was perfect, not only that it was about half the cost AI would have charged for it.

I would still like to see some pics, I tried to find the ones on the ranger forum but the search kept comming up empty, and I got tired of looking ;)

I have seen a BD'ed X before. I'll do some hunting to see if I can find you some pics. They are still extreamly few and far between so you have a unique ride there.

One last question. Why did you choose to run #6 lines (I'm assuming the lines as you said the fittings were #6) in the front and #8 lines in the back?

P.S. I'm 6'9" and the roof of my X is below my sholders too....oh wait, I've got a few inces on you, and your X has a few on mine :D

I found this on Negative Camber's website, thought I'd share it :D

The shadow makes it very hard to tell if this is body dropped or not, but I think it may be...though not near as much as you are doing. This was also on NC's site (the first place I looked), it's a shot from Texas Heat Wave. (sorry for the size)

It's not an X, but close and wort a look ;)
Dead Link Removed

I'll keep looking later b/c I have a basketball game soon.

Hey loxplorer: you ever been to car stereo plus, up in lynwood Wa? i wasup there a while back and talking to a guy who was working on a body droped ford ranger, i think he said he knew you or something, i dunno...

you know of any clubs in the area, i have a 93 2wd sitting on 20's and lowered and wanted to join a club, thanks...

I've got the bigger ports(fittings) up front cuz i was hopin of weight dispersal that the front and rear would go up simultaneously as the front. we'll c how it works!! the white explorer is no where near bodydropped. its not even sittin on the little rocker extension. jus lowered. the XPO is bodydropped thats more like it!! tuckin a ***** load of rim.
hell ya ive been 2 car stereo plus...i used 2 live about 2miles away. tha guy with the ranger is brandon. he BD his ranger 4.5" also. actually i saw him there 2day when i rolled by. well we're in a small club called lowered horizons. theres 4 trucks right now mayb 2 more on the way. if interested email me chocolatercket@aol.com. we'll set sumthin up. coo..well this thread is plenty long. yall take er easy. i'll b sure 2 get some pics up in the next month. stay tuned!! lata:smoke:

hey thats tight about his ranger thanks for the info on the club...

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I found this today. If I remember corectly, you said your X isn't in one piece, nor is it painted yet so I'm pretty sure I didn't stumble across your pics (which you never sent me). ;)

They do exist....you are not swimming in freash waters nor can you claim something that you can't be sure about.

that explorer looks good, except the rear bumper sticks out like a sore thumb. should've had it match like the front.

I don't like the hood scoop, I think it's too big and gawdy.

Also, right behind the front right wheelwell, the paint's been all scraped off on the bottom. Do you think he was actually driving that low?

Godfather,
Where did you find that pick? Do you have any idea of whos EX that is?
I want the hood. It looks OK on the lowered EX but I think it would look great on my lifted Ex. I have been looking for that style for some time.
Can ya help a brotha out?

You can find that post on the explorerunderground.com web site under the forum. Its under the title like: "check this X out" or somehting.

I posted that BD Explorer on explorerunderground.com. Crazy stuff, he is also from Long Island if anyone sees him around.

That X is hella tight, thats the first BD explorer i ever seen and i gotta admit it looks damn good. Who ever said a BD would look stupid?, it looks really good.

Wonder what it would look like with 20's.......hmmmm...food for thought i supose.

that hood is just a ranger hood

kimabena74,
Do you know if it fits easily? Where would you purchase one of those?
I like that look :bounce:

an 89-92 ranger hood will match up with a 91-94 explorer.

Does anyone know where to purchase a cowl hood like that for the 89-92 ranger.
That would look so sweet:D

4Wheelin, what size cowl hood are you planning on? Because I was looking through their catalog, and I was trying to figure out how many 7" cowl induction hoods get sold for 11 year old Ford Explorers.
