When im on the fwy my truck at 65 70 doesnt pass 3 rpms dont know why but it sucks thought it was the tranny low on oil changed it and tbe filter but it is the same check engine light on about cat converter below thershold bank2 ......any ideas

The code about your cat (P0420, right?) is likely a big nuthin and is unrelated to your 'tranny issue' and probably unrelated to the cat as well. Any number of malfunctioning sensors can cause the engine to run too rich or too lean and generate this code, as well as fresh air 'leaking' into the motor from bad intake manifold gaskets, or a bad ERG o-ring gasket where the EGR tube enters the intake, etc... Ask me how I know...

So, when you stomp the gas to the floor for WOT at highway speeds, you say the tranny does not downshift nor rev above 3k?

Its an auto 5 speed tranny 4x4 so i hope its not the tranny cause me an arm and both of my legs.....right now i turned it on and the rpms went down to zero and it rebed its self three times........but how do you now hope your not going through the same thing

No, I've just got a P0420 that has been coming and going for 2 years now - somehow I always manage to get it reset just b4 inspection is due...

Having a little trouble understanding your issue. Are you saying that when on the fwy and you stomp the gas to the floor to WOT (Wide-Open-Throttle), you say the tranny does not downshift nor rev above 3k?

Yup it only picks up speed when i go down hill the most it picked up was 70 up hill it drops down to like 40 the truck just turtles
