Back story:
The t case in my girlfriends 1995 explorer is trashed. I cannot find a 4405 in Kansas City for her year for less than $600. I found an electrical shift 1354 from a 94 for $100.

she doesnt need the AWD of the 4405 and cant afford to buy one anyways.

can i swap in the 1354 for the 4405? she has 4.0/auto... the 1354 has the speed sensor on the tail shaft...

I need some info ASAP and i havent found what i need while searching and i need to get her truck back together tommorrow!

Thanks in advance for any info! I really appreciate it!

It'll bolt-up, but it won't be plug-n-play. It'll fill the gap left by the 44-05, and ths speedo will work, but it will not shift on its own. You'll still need to either rig up some mechanism for shifting it electronically (heard rumors about using the shift controls out of a 1st-gen, but have yet to see it done successfully) or convert it to a manual linkage.
