4406 Front drive shaft length

Hey All, I did the BW4406convert on my truck two weekends ago. I did it by my self so it was a giant PITA getting the Tcase up and lined up. But its in and it runs fine. My gas mileage in the city doesn't seem like it improved.Anyways to my question: I haven't been able to find a front DS locally. Every truck I come across is 5.4L. There are plenty on EBay but all of the post say they are compatible with 4.6L and 5.4L engines...wehn really the 4.6 and 5.4 are different lengths so I have been weary to purchase one online. Can people who have done the 4406 let me know the length of their front DS so I can have ebay sellers measure their's and make sure I get the correct size. Let me know where you measure from. Thanks.

will a Front D/S out of a 2005 4.6 fit. Length wise it looks right but I'm not sure if its thicker or if the ujoints are a weird size. Thanks

I just went through this. I tried a double cardan but it vibrated. I do not think you need the double cardan until you do a suspension lift.

Start at post 678 and you should be caught up

In nutshell, 97-03 f150 drive shaft, remove one flange, use a conversion u joint at the front diff end

Thanks for the link. The one I am looking at is single. I just wasn't sure if the DS from a 2005 is the same as the 1998-2003's. I thinkI will just buy it and hope for the best
