I recently did the 4406 swap. The front driveshaft was a bear to get in .It came from a 98 f150 4.6 auto. It is to long as it ruined my conversion joint.Any ideas as to what to do its winter and need to get it ready for the snow. My Mounty is otherwise stock.

Check the interior of the compression joint. Sometimes they get hardened grease stuck in there that stops the joint from collapsing all the way.
Other than that, you would have to find a driveline shop to have one made.

I got the slip joint to operate however it was colapsed all the way. I dropped my shaft off to be shortened and have a new joint installed. Thanks for the help.

It all good now . I took driveshaft to Asheville Powertain. They shortened and balanced and replaced u joint for $55. Reinstalled and no vibes in 4 wheel drive all the way up to 55 mph. Go thing cause there was snow on the ground this am ,
