The torque wrench will click when it reaches the preset In/Lb torque. Don't keep turning it or it will break the band.
Ok, will update you on the trans adjustment once I get the stinkin inch pound torque wrench. Lol...is it possible for me to use a ft LB torque wrench and set it up correctly?
Haha, thanks for the help brooklyn bay.

I see, and the sensitivity is crucial for the 4r bands. Ok. THanks.

So I guess that wasn't rust? It looked rusty. Not very bad though. And the placement of the stud sticking out wasn't much farther in at ALL.

How does it run since you adjusted the bands?
Keep in mind, I attempted to adjust the bands...I didn't adjust them to any spec whatsoever.
The engine idles perfectly. At 1k cold, 7-800 RPMS warm with A/C blowing top.

So, finnaly found time to attempt the adjustment. Me and my Dad tightened it per JK's words and it didn't do it. We tried it 5 different times, each time moving the stud a little farther out/in. Every time the issue was no kickdown, unless 20% throttle or less. Other than that, it went through all the gears smoothly including OD, just wouldnt want to kickdown to an higher gear. Going uphill, no shift and RPM's stay up, going downhill, kicks down like nothing. Fluid level good. So, I had to call the transmission rebuilder guy to bail us out. He says it sounds simple. (like undertorqued VB bolts or something,) which is what im wishing for. He'll come Thursday. And remeber, this rebuild cost us only 400 bucks. We'll give him more $$$ for the trouble, of course. Once this adjustment is perfected, we're gonna take this Ex on a smaller roadtrip to test it out.

Ok,so the tranny guy got the transmission working up to 90% or so. Adjusted the bands multiple times to get it just right. He even adjusted the OD band. The only imperfection is a large flare from 3rd gear to 4th. Slow engaging. The trans rebuilder said he recalls testing a shift solenoid that read lower then the others, weak one. that is what the code says, so next is that shift solenoid!

After this, hopfully it'll work like pickles.
