4R70W - Assistance

By removing the filter from the automatic transmission of a 2000 Ford Explorer Limited, transmission (4R70W) appeared this small part. Someone know the place of origin of this piece?

Throw it away. That is an assembly line plug, which keeps dirt and debris out, then gets shoved in when they place the transmission dipstick tube on the assembly line.

So this plug must not be used with the new filter? Trash?
