I have been reading and reading all the forums about the typical four wheel drive issues on explorers. I have just recently purchased 97 explorer sport with a 4.0L SOHC. The four wheel drive lights flash as soon as i turn the truck on. I replaced the speed sensor in the rear and checked the connection on the trans case motor and it all seemed good. Is there any definitive problem on this or am i looking at spending over 500 on replacing the motor and TCU, both of which i have been told by the dealership could be bad. If someone here knew for a fact it was one or the other i would just fix what was wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am getting married on saturday and hope to take it on the honeymoon so as to get through the 8-10 more inches of snow they are calling for. Thank you in advance and i want to let you all know that this website has been very informative and is the main reason why i bought the explorer
