Hello, my g/f has a 95 explorer limited. I have a questino about her 4wd setup. It has a switch 2wd/4hi Auto/4low. Ok so when it is 4hi auto can you drive on dry pavment wiht it or is it like normal 4wd when you can use it only on wet/snowy roadways. Also, it works in 4wd hi auto, but it does not click into low, it just clicks a bunch in hte dash, so do you think that a t-case flush would fix this problem/?

Thanks@!

you can drive in 4 auto on dry pavement, but there really is no point. 4 auto only sends power to the front when it senses slipping in the rear. when you were trying to put it into 4low were you putting it into neutral? it must be in neutral to go into and outta 4low

r u putting it into nutral for the 4 low?

yes, that is the way you switch it on my ranger so i figured it was the same for the ex. Oh yah and when switching into 4wd auto can you shift on the fly or do you have to stop and put it in neutral for that too?? thanks...

the only reason 4wd auto would be on on dry pavement is my g/f would have it on because in the winter we get really bad snow drifts acrost the roads and you get the picture...lol..

**Edit**

when after a few minutes of try to engage it flashes the 4wd hi and low lights at me.

you can shify from 2wd to 4x4auto at ANY SPEED..flashing 4x4 light's mean's a problem
