Silly question for you guys. I may have the opportunity to pick up a '98 Sport 4x2 on the cheap. From what I've been told it's really clean and has 90k on it.
I've been looking to replace my extremely tired XJ trail rig with a 2nd gen Exploder. The plan would be to ditch the IFS and do a SAS. I'm not worried about that part, but was curious as to what I'd need to do swap in a t-case. Would it be as simple as replacing the output shaft/tail shaft on the trans? The Explorer is an auto and I believe it is an XLT. Thanks for the help!
