4x4 high makes noise when I only turn right help!?!?

Ok so last night I put the 4x4 high due to some weather conditions and noticed a noise I haven't heard before. When the truck is in 4x4 auto its fine both sides are fine no noise whatsoever. So I don't understand why its only doing it when u turn right I thought it would happen with both sides. My explorer is a V6 4.0 with 164,000 any advice on what it can be or what to look for?

It could be noise from a bad CV joint in a front axle. That's what I would look at first.
