4x4 low light on - solid

So my battery died. I hooked up another in the same manner but the positive and negative were switched. Ooops so I realized my mistake but apparently it did something to the 4x4 panel switch.

I checked all the fuses related to the 4wheel in my panel box. They were all fine. I don't think the 4 wheel is engaged but the light remains on no matter what I try.

Could i have possibly shorted out the switch panel? Should I test the relays? Anyone know what else I should check or have a solution? Any help is appreciated

Does the 4x4 even work?

If not, you may have fried the 4x4 control module.

I believe it's behind the glove box? If not there, look behind the passenger's side kick panel.

On the 04's the 4x4 control module is integrated with the pcm computer, not a separate unit. Maybe try disco'ing the battery again for 1/2 an hour and see if that work's?
