Okay here is my problems of many. I tried putting it in 4 wheel drive today and all i hear is clicking noise in the back but the push button is not lighting up. and i don't feel it engaging. What could be the deal. And secondly it seems its not going in overdrive either. And another thing I have noticed does these transmission the same like any other suppose to have engine brake if you down shift from D to 2. and like bogging. B/c mine doesn't do it. I can drive throw it in 1st gear while driving down the highway and it doesn't down shift. when i step on the accelerator it is in 1st gear b/c then it rev's up around 4 grand or so. then i shift back in D and goes in 3rd gear but no 4th gear when i put it in overdrive. This is a problem before i got it so just trying to find out what needs to be done what seems to me is new transmission and possible motor for the 4x4. but idk any help suggestions plez.

okay your 4x4 drive is definently the t-case shift motor, i had the same exact prob with mine. i just went to a pick an pull and got one; prob solvled. now im not exactly sure what you said about your tranny but if you try to go into first at higher speeds it will not engage until its at a safe speed, same with sec. im not sure about the OD but just changing your tranny fluid and making sure the correct amount is in their could def work. thats if thats the problem.

yea. But does your tranny at least have engine brake if you go from overdrive to D. or like D to 2. Because if i drive 70mph and let off the accelerator it drops to engine idle is what i was getting at. and the motor where is that located at?

on the back of the transfer case next to rear driveline

when you let off the gas the rpms will drop so you can coast (better gas mileage). yes if you pull it out of drive into sec it will act as an engine brake. if your pulling it out of overdrive into D and it doesnt do anything then it wasnt in overdrive. i really hope thats what you were asking, if not pleze explain and sorry if im not getting it.
