2008 sport trac limited
Hey all, looking to do this swap. my 2008 trac is 4X4 but has had some serious issues as of late. the Front end is also a little bit twisted and the front right tire rubs with larger tires. I found an excellent 2007 that has a blown tranny, same color obviously a 2wd. So the big question here is if the electronics are same or will it require a harness swap? I appreciate the feed back!

are you planning to put the 4x4 trans in the 2wd truck? or vice versa? i want to say electronicslly they should be the same iirc, someone please confirm, but the tailshafts will differ assyming same motor. youll also need new diff for the front to swap in as well as spindles hubs cvs that kind of stuff if you wanna make the 2wd a 4wd, not sure what the provisions are for 4g

I’m using my 4x4 as the donner to convert a 2wd sport trac. I’ll have both vehicles at my disposal so no problems there. As I stated my only worries are the electronics. Just to be clear my 4x4 has frame and engine problems where the 2wd is solid Except the blown tranny but I have mine so I’m good here as well.
