4x4 to extended bent i beams

If you're building the brackets, you can make them for any beam you want. That said, I saw a set of extended and trussed F-150 4x4 beams on www.race-dezert.com.

how does 4x4 affect wheel travel in those? is there a limit outside what 4x2 beams can travel?

Wheel travel with 4wd isn't an issue as long as the front end is set up correctly. Autofab can get up to 21" of travel out of the f150 TTB on Rangers/Explorers. Several other companies claim about the same with a highly modified D35 front ends with high dollar axleshafts.

If you're dead set on keeping the A-arm Explorer you've got and going with a TTB, I think your best off either grafting on the front end from an earlier model beamed Explorer or swapping frames.
